Design files accompanying the HardwareX article: "Affordable Thermal Control for Cell Culture Chambers: An Open-Source, PID-Based Heating Module."
This repository contains all files needed to reproduce and adapt the open-source PID-controlled heating module:
- Heater_Circuit_Schematic.svg — Complete wiring diagram (AC/DC power, signal chain, fusing)- ANSYS_Thermal_Model.wbpz — ANSYS Workbench project archive (geometry, mesh, BCs, solver settings)- padt-ansys-mechanical-PID_Controller_R1.zip — ANSYS ACT extension for closed-loop PID thermal simulation- Sensor_Mount.STEP — Thermocouple mounting bracket- Purchase_List.xlsx — Complete bill of materials with costs and supplier links- Thermal_Sizing_Calculator.xlsx — Excel calculator for adapting the heater design to other chamber geometries
All hardware files are licensed under CERN-OHL-P-2.0 (CERN Open Hardware Licence Version 2 — Permissive).
