Urbamic 2023, street sediment metagenomes (16S & tpm) - Bacterial microbiomes of street sediments from industrial and commercial sub-catchments

Urbamic 2023 is a study of bacterial microbiomes of street sediments from industrial and commercial sub-catchements of the ZI Chassieu Mi-Plaine watershed, Lyon metropolitan are, France (part of the OTHU long-term field observatory on urban hydrology). Street sediments, aloso termed road deposits, were collected in 5 selected sub-catchments representative of urabn typologies and anthropogenic activities. Two DNA metabarcoding schemes were carried out: (i) 16S rRNA V5-V7 gene (pair-end Illumina MiSeq V3 provided by Mr DNA, Shalowater, Texas, USA), and (ii) thiopurine-S-methyltransferase (tpm) gene (pair-end Illumina MiSeq V3 provided by Biofidal, Vaulx-en-Velin, France).
