Poverty, Population Density, and Thermal-Vegetation Environmental Indicators for 30 Cities in Java Island, Indonesia (2014, 2019, 2024)

This dataset contains city-level panel data (n=30 cities, 3 time points: 2014, 2019, 2024) for poverty rate, population density, and satellite-derived environmental indicators (Land Surface Temperature, NDVI, NDBI) across 30 cities in Java Island, Indonesia. Principal component scores and K-means cluster assignments (k=4) derived from these variables are also included. This dataset supports the manuscript "Independent or Intertwined? Poverty and Surface Urban Heat in 30 Indonesian Cities, 2014-2024," submitted to Applied Spatial Analysis and Policy (Springer). Processing scripts for satellite indicator extraction (Google Earth Engine) and statistical analysis (R) are included in the same repository record.
