Distribution of construction employees in South Korea 2022, by industry

In 2022, the specialized construction industry revolving around general building construction employed the largest share of construction workers in South Korea at 26.9 percent. This was closely followed by the special site preparation and foundation construction industry, with 24.6 percent. Employing only 0.4 percent of construction workers, the repair and maintenance industry was the smallest in 2022.
