资源简介:
Photographic postcard from the Los Angeles Preparedness Parade, women in white marching with flags, June 14, 1916. Six rows of what seems to be women wearing lightly colored dresses walk from left to right along a paved street with two visible tracks underneath. The women wave American flags with their hands while women at the end of each row hold up a large patriotic emblem. The heads of a small group of spectators are visible in the bottom left corner while a large row of spectators can be seen in the background. A building with a sign that reads "Vance Drug Co." can be seen behind the spectators on the right while cars are stopped along an intersecting street with people inside. Photoprint reads "I know you could not find me in crowd so had to put a speck of ink on my nice white dress. Lucille De Mere. Los Angeles Preparedness Parade".
