We studied the effects of drought on two generations of bean plants grown in climatic chambers. The plant microbiota of seeds (fresh and mature), roots, rhizosphere, stems, seedlings (Gen 2 only) and leaves was characterized using the Illumina MiSeq platform. For bacteria, we used the 16S rRNA (V4) and gyrB marker genes and for Fungi, we used the ITS1 marker. Study performed at the IRHS (INRAE, Angers) by Matthieu Barret, Marie Simonin, Arthur Fouillé, Brice Marolleau, Coralie Marais, in collaboration with Ashley Shade's lab at Michigan State University and now LEM (CNRS, Lyon) as part of a USDA NIFA grant 2019-67019- 29305
