This series comprises agendas, minutes, correspondence, reports for discussion at meetings of the New South Wales Legal Assistance Forum (NLAF).The NLAF meets quarterly at CEO-level to decide on activities. In addition to planning and coordinating services, NLAF convenes Working Groups to address specific issues that relate to access to justice for socially and economically disadvantaged persons in NSW. Representatives from the Foundation currently convene two Working Groups: the Working Group on Interpreter Services, which was established to explore and improve access to interpreter services for clients using public legal services; and the Legal Information and Referral Forum, which aims to improve the quality of information and referral for people with legal problems in NSW by drawing together and disseminating existing knowledge and experience and identifying common concerns and potential areas of cooperation.
