Impact of Faecalibacterium spp. on gut microbiota in mother mice under a low-fiber diet

This study examines the effects of different Faecalibacterium species on gut microbiota in mother mice under a low-fiber dietary condition. The bacterial strains Faecalibacterium duncaniae A2-165, Faecalibacterium longum Fl-1 and Fl-2, and Faecalibacterium butyricigenerans Fb-1 were orally administered, along with a control group receiving medium. Cecal content samples were collected, and 16S rRNA sequencing targeting the V3-V4 region was performed to analyze gut microbiota composition.
