Work Environment and Health, 1990

The purpose of the survey, which was carried out in collaboration with the Danish National Institute of Occupational Health (Arbejdsmiljøinstituttet) and Odense University, and which forms part of similar surveys in Finland, Norway and Sweden, is to obtain information for statistical and scientific assessment of the work environment and health of Danish wage earners. (A number of the variables from all the four Nordic surveys are collected in DDA-1646: Nordic Work Environment Surveys, 1989-1990). # The data material is obtained by means of 1) telephone interviews/interviews in the home with approx. 9500 persons selected at random from Danmarks Statistik's Population Statistics Register, and 2) postal questionnaires completed by persons who in the interviews stated that they had been involved in an industrial accident within the last year. # A follow-up was carried out in 1995, where the same persons were re-interviewed with almost the same questions (DDA-2297: Work Environment and Health, 1995). # #The following information is included from the interview forms: #1. Information about the respondent, including sex, age, weight # and height. #2. Information about present employment conditions, including # branch of trade, size and production of the firm, distance # to the firm, working hours, etc. #3. Information about the respondent's job function. #4. Information about the respondent's job history, including # number of jobs, unemployment periods, periods of illness, # and in-service training within the last years. #5. Use of data technology and a more detailed description of the # use. #6. Physical and chemical exposure at the place of work. #7. The psychosocial work environment. #8. Symptoms and diseases which the respondent suffers from. #9. Involvement in industrial accidents within the last year. # #From the postal questionnaires sent to the persons who have been involved in an industrial accident within the last year a more detailed description is included of the circumstances in connection with as well as the type and consequences of the industrial accidents
