Transcriptome of non-lesional skin from individuals with acne vulgaris

This study used RNA-seq to gain insight into transcriptome of non-lesional skin from individuals with acne vulgaris (acne). RNA was isolated from 4 mm whole skin biopsy punches from the upper back of 49 individuals with mild acne (biopsies were at least 5 cm away from any active lesion) and 19 healthy controls with no history of acne.
