All of these datasets provide mechanical data acquired as part of the ERC-funded DOPAMICS research program. DOPAMICS website : https://dopamics.wordpress.com/ 1. Data from tensile test coupled with Digital Image Correlation - Systematic effects File : 24-02-2026_Mechanical_data_tensile_test_systematic_effects.zip Data result from a zero loading tensile test on leaflet sample from 3 Euterpe oleracea (MC87_0279, MC87_0310, MC87_1027) and 3 Oenocarpus bataua palms (MC87_0074, MC87_0364, MC87_1019) collected at Regina site (4.0572°N, –52.0864°E), to estimate the systematic error and the associated type B uncertainty due to camera acquisition and data treatment from the algorithm (Pydic suite*). Data result from a tensile test on leaflet sample from 3 Euterpe oleracea (MC87_0279, MC87_0310, MC87_1027) and 3 Oenocarpus bataua palms (MC87_0074, MC87_0364, MC87_1019) collected at Regina site (4.0572°N, –52.0864°E). Tensile tests are carried out in the elastic range to avoid damaging the samples, with a loads from 5 (preload) to 16N. To estimate the random type A uncertainty due to camera acquisition and data processing by the algorithm, two modalities are tested, first without speckle and then with speckle. 10 repetitions of tensile test for each sample (6) are carried out for each modality (2), resulting in 120 tests. Each test result contains: one csv file per registered image. Data from tensile test coupled with Digital Image Correlation - Raw data Samples are prepared according to the standardised protocol for tensile test on palms leaflet for the DOPAMICS research programme, available on protocols.io under DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17504/protocols.io.ewov124rpgr2/v2 Each test result contains : - XXXX_YYYY_strain_MFS.txt: raw DIC data (acquired with the Pydic* suite) and data synchronized with SyntX* data. - XXXX_YYYY.xlsx: Raw data from the SyntX** software, which is raw data from the tensile test rig. XXXX corresponds to the sampling site and YYYY to the sample identification. Each test is recorded in the file "2025-04-08_Mechanical_data_tensile_test_DIC_LSB.csv" and linked to the sample identification and geometric data. A supplementary analysis of the mechanical microstructure is added in the file "2026-02-27 Mechanical microstructure data of Euterpe oleracea and Oenocarpus bataua.csv" All data supplied on request 4. Data from tensile test coupled with Laser extensometry carried out at the IMT Mines Ales Files : 2025-04-08_Mechanical_data_tensile_test_laser_ALES.zip Samples are prepared according to the standardised protocol for tensile test on palms leaflet for the DOPAMICS research programme, available on protocols.io under DOI: https://dx.doi.org/10.17504/protocols.io.ewov124rpgr2/v2 The displacements recorded with the laser are synchronized on the traction bench with the MTS*** software. The raw data from the software is then exported with a number and date in a .txt file.
