Comparative Analysis of Mycoplasma Capricolum Subsp. capripneumoniae Strain 87001. Mycoplasma capricolum subsp. capripneumoniae 87001

M. capricolum subsp. capripneumoniae 87001 is a vaccine strain isolated from the lung of a goat in China. Complete genomic sequencing was conducted by Roche 454 GS FLX system. A total of 101,255 reads totaling 33,482,416 bases, was obtained resulting in 33-fold genome coverage. Assembly was performed using the GS de novo Assembler software. The relationships of these contigs were determined by multiplex PCR. Gaps were then filled in through sequencing the PCR products by ABI 3730xl capillary sequencers. Phred, Phrap and Consed software packages were used for final assembly and editing, and low quality regions of the genome were resequenced. The final sequencing accuracy was 99.99%.
