Wohlfahrtiimonas chitiniclastica BS5 was isolated from groundnut root collected from Okitipupa, Ondo State, Nigeria. The bacterium was screened for plant growth-promoting traits and explored as bioinoculants on maize seeds. The bioinoculation efficacy of the copious bacterium revealed its potential as suitable candidates in ensuring ecofriendly agriculture and food security in the costal line environment.
