The goal of this study was to determine the effects of CFTR loss in porcine airway smooth muscle on transcriptomic changes. These studies are relevant to enhancing our understanding of human cystic fibrosis and the role of CFTR in airway smooth muscle function. Results from these studies could lead to novel therapeutic targets for diseases with airway smooth muscle dysfunction.
