This dataset shows the location of supermarkets in Britain. Only the big four chains have been included, these are Tescos, Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons. The spatial accuracy of the data is not great but generally better than 100m. Local tweaking may be needed. Please advise author of dataset of missing supermarkets, this list will not be definitive. Generated from 4 individual files from POI website. Data was merged and many positions were improved after x-checking with other sources. GIS vector data. This dataset was first accessioned in the EDINA ShareGeo Open repository on 2010-09-16 and migrated to Edinburgh DataShare on 2017-02-21.
