Sydney radio survey, 1981

The general objectives are to gather information about audience reception and interests in the Sydney area with regard to radio and with particular emphasis on preferences and appreciation of programs on the various ABC radio stations in the Sydney area. Topics include: radio and television ownership; weekday radio listening habits; preferred programme type; preferred radio station and type of programme for specific time slots on weekdays; reasons for not listening on weekdays; reasons for not listening to FM stations; reasons for choosing a particular FM station; likes and dislikes about 2 Triple Jay (2JJJ) radio; the most convenient times for listening to new broadcasts during breakfast, lunch and evening meal hours; radio station listened to for news, Monday to Friday; preferred radio programme for the Noon to 2:00 p.m. time slot; television programme viewing; how often the respondent watches Channel 0/28 and an evaluation of the reception of this channel in the respondent's home; and, length of time spend watching television on an ordinary night. Background variables include age, sex, occupation, level of education, and household composition. Data refers to period from 1 July, 1981 to 31 July, 1981
