资源简介:
The temperature, geopotential height and wind fields are used for European stratospheric ozone research projects, such as EASOE and SESAME as well as other EU funded projects. The data are extracted from the ECMWF MARS archive. There are data for 12 UT every day from early November through April starting Nov. 1991. The data are transferred to NILU through the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. Data are ANALYSES (forecast hrs = 0) or FORECASTS of the isobaric meteorological parameters given above. Data are stored in the NASA Ames format number 3010 and are organized the following way: The first data line after the header is a line containing the first value of the independent variable (1000 hPa) followed by the auxilliary variables. This line is then followed by a block of 250 lines containing the 3600 geopotential heights in the format 15I5. Immediately after this block follows a new block with the temperatures, then a block with u-wind and a block with v-wind. After these four data blocks comes a line with the next value of the independent variable (850 hPa) followed by the auxilliary variables. This line is then followed by the same four data blocks as described above. This pattern is repeated for 700, 500, 400, 300, 200, 150, 100, 70, 50, 30 and 10 hPa. The data are on a 2.5x2.5 degree longitude/latitude grid starting at-177.5 degrees east and 90 degrees north. The longitude is the most rapidly varying variable, which means that the second element is at -175.0 degrees east and 90 degrees north and so on. The last element of each block is the value at 177.5 degrees east and 30 degrees north. The geographical position of element (i,j) in the matrix can be calculated as follows: Longitude = -177.5 + 2.5*(i-1) i=1,2,...,144 Latitude = 90.0 - 2.5*(j-1) j=1,2,..., 25 Data Set Progress: Ongoing (approximately yearly update)
