Experimental evolution of Bdellovibrio sp. NC01 under long-term co-culture with Pseudomonas

We evolved the predatory bacterium Bdellovibrio sp. NC01 in the lab by serial passage using Pseudomonas as prey. This project includes six replicate lines (A-F) that were established from the same ancestral Bdellovibrio NC01 population. For each passage, the new prey population was grown from the same Pseudomonas freezer stock. Our goal was to determine how Bdellovibrio sp. NC01 evolved when restricted to a single, unchanging prey strain.
