All tar files contain netcdf files of output produced by the Goddard Earth Observing System (GEOS) Atmospheric general circulation model, as described in: Knowland et al., (2025). Stratospheric Water Vapor Beyond NASAs Aura MLS: Assimilating SAGE III/ISS Profiles for a Continued Climate Record. Geophysical Research Letters, doi: 10.1029/2024GL112610. Contents include: fig1_codas_acefts.tar.gz: GEOS water vapor, sampled along the ACE-FTS overpass, as shown in Figure 1 of Knowland et al. fig2_codas_fph.tar: GEOS water vapor, sampled at the location (cryogenic) frost point hygrometers, as shown in Figure 2. codas_sage3iss_h2o.daily_mean.tar.gz: Global, daily mean stratospheric water vapor GEOS output from the SAGE III/ISS consituent data assimilation experiment for 2017 - 2022. Data can be used to reproduce Figures 3 and 4. control_h2o.daily_mean.tar.gz: Global, daily mean stratospheric water vapor GEOS output from the control experiments, with no stratospheric water vapor assimilation, for 2017 - 2022. Data can be used to reproduce Figures 3 and 4. codas_sage3iss_reduced_uncert.tavg24_3d_asm_met_chm_p10.2022.nc4.gz: Daily mean stratospheric water vapor GEOS output for 2022 from the SAGE DAS reduced uncertainty experiment, shown in Figure 4.
