Relate-estimated coalescence rates and allele ages for European beef cattle

Overview Coalescence rates and allele ages calculated for five beef cattle breeds (Charolais, Simmental, Limousin, Hereford, Angus) using Relate. We estimated the joint genealogy of 684 individuals, including both Bos taurus and Bos indicus, then extracted the embedded genealogy for the five cattle breeds and re-estimated the population size history and branch lengths.
