资源简介:
These data are from fan delta experiments conducted in the Sediment Transport and Earth-Surface Processes basin at the University of Texas at Austin. These experiments were subjected to constant water discharge (65 cm^3/s), constant sediment discharge (1 cm^3/s) and constant base level (1 cm , 5 cm, 10 cm). Experiments used a bi-modal sediment mixture of 50% 170 micron silica sand and 50% 1-2 mm silica sand. Overhead images were collected every 30 seconds and topography scans were collected every hour. Topography data were collected by a laser altimeter with 5-mm resolution in x and y, and sub-millimeter vertical resolution. Experiments were conducted to examine the role of basin depth on autogenic reworking timescales and delta morphology for fan deltas.
