The present dataset is a collection of all valid non-marine tardigrades species reports available in the literature on Central and South America until 2023. The dataset contains geographic information and a description of samples collected for 271 species. The purpose of this database is to facilitate access to this information and serve as an incentive to people interested in studying more of the biogeography, ecology, and/or any other trait of the main group of known tardigrades in these regions.
