Production volume of yogurt in Japan FY 2014-2023

In fiscal year 2023, the production volume of yogurt products in Japan fell below one million kiloliters. Figures remained steadily above one million kiloliters in the last decade until 2022. Yogurt, referred to as fermented dairy products according to the ministerial ordinance regarding milk and dairy products, includes the processed food in paste, liquid, and frozen form in Japan.
