Shear-Driven Instabilities as the Origin of Multi-Banded Cloud and Precipitation Structures in an Extratropical Cyclone

The data provided here allows one to reproduce the core results of the paper listed below. These core results include: (1) wavelet analysis of multi-band features identified in GOES visible satellite images of an extratropical cyclone and (2) the analysis of internal gravity waves and Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities identified in numerical simulations of an extratropical cyclone.
