Congestion data TSO 50 Hertz Germany 2015-2017 (binary)

The data sets comprise hourly congestion data of the transmission system operator 50 Hertz from 2015 to 2017. 50 Hertz GmbH and TenneT GmbH are the TSOs in Germany, which suffer the most from congestion in their grids (96 % of German transmission grid congestion appears here). While other German TSOs do not publish their respective congestion data, 50 Hertz GmbH provides hourly values. We transformed the data from categorical and numerical information into binary variables to provide an easier starting point for further analysis. Check the "Read me" section for further information. This data is part of a larger data set on congestion in the German electricity grids from 2015 to 2017. The related datasets are referenced below.
