Opinions issued in the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedure (decisions related to the issued opinion, programmes) covering the period from 2015 to September 2022. Additional explanation: The State Environmental Monitoring Bureau is the competent authority which, in accordance with the procedures laid down in this Law, coordinates and supervises the environmental impact assessment within the meaning of Article 6(1) of the Law on Environmental Impact Assessment. EIA is a multi-stage procedure, the application of which is necessary before the construction of significant objects, which may have adverse effects on the environment. This procedure includes a set of measures providing for an investigation of the existing environmental status of the intended area, an investigation of the environmental impact of the site, the development of proposals for the reduction or elimination of adverse effects, as well as the development of the necessary monitoring requirements for monitoring the remaining effects. The EIA procedure is necessary for the activities defined in Article 4(1) of the Law on Environmental Impact Assessment and is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Cabinet Regulation No 18 of 13 January 2015 on the procedure for assessing the environmental impact of the intended activity and accepting the intended activity.
