Key Metric Analyser (KMA): An AI-Based Framework for Extracting and Classifying Peatland Policy Metrics
收藏资源简介:
The Key Metric Analyser (KMA) is an AI-powered analytical tool developed to automatically extract and classify peatland-relevant metrics from policy documents within the Policy Collection. The system identifies quantitative and qualitative indicators that relate to peatlands and can be used to evaluate policy implementation, effectiveness, and impact. The KMA performs a one-time analysis of each policy document and provides a publicly accessible interface for exploring the extracted results. Identified key metrics are classified according to two complementary taxonomies: (1) Key Metric Levels, which distinguish between operational policy actions and strategic policy outcomes, and (2) Key Metric Classes, which categorize metrics across domains such as peatland area management, emissions, site protection status, funding allocation, policy actions, knowledge resources, practical resources, and environmental quality indicators. The extracted metrics support policy evaluation, comparative policy analysis, and evidence-based policy design by enabling users to better understand the peatland policy landscape and identify measurable targets and outcomes across jurisdictions.
