Translational control by elongation in yeast. Elongation Control

Translation elongation is emerging as a controller of gene expression levels for increasing subsets of eukaryotic genes. We use a diagnostic procedure for identifying elongation-controlled genes in yeast, which relies on the CRISPR-mediated replacement of endogenous genes with codon-optimised versions of the same genes, and measuring resulting changes in gene expression levels. Synthetic constructs used in these experiments are listed here.
