The study was initiated to investigate the antimicrobial resistance mechanism and virulence determinants associated with the clinical pathogen especially Klebsiella pneumoniae. The organism was isolated from the pus sample of diabetic foot ulcer of a 56 year old female patient. The study screened the antimicrobial resistant genes(ARGs) and mobile genetic elements, that facilitate the transfer of ARGs among bacteria.
