Data Introduction The dataset presented here offers a comprehensive insight into the dynamics of Yulong Snow Mountain (YSM), situated in a low latitude and high altitude region in the Northern Hemisphere (27.106°N, 100.205°E). The glaciers of YSM, characterized as temperate (warm) glaciers, exhibit a notable response to global environmental changes. Baishui River Glacier No. 1 (BGN1) stands as the largest and most renowned glacier on Yulong Snow Mountain. To elucidate the intricate relationship between glacier behavior and climatic variations on YSM, an alpine glacier and meteorological monitoring network has been meticulously established spanning an elevation range from 3046 m to 4700 m above sea level since 2006. This monitoring system encompasses a glacier observation field and four automatic weather stations (AWSs), collectively forming a long-term dataset. This dataset encompasses glacier change, mass balance, and meteorological variables, including changes in glacier area and mass balance for YSM and BGN1. The data comprise temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, precipitation, and atmospheric pressure records at annual, monthly, and daily scales.
