GST Education and Employability: Examining the Gap between Conceptual Knowledge and Practical Application among Commerce Students

This dataset contains primary data collected from undergraduate commerce students to examine their conceptual knowledge, practical application, teaching effectiveness, and employability related to Goods and Services Tax (GST). The data was collected using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly Disagree, 5 = Strongly Agree). The dataset includes responses for 50 participants across four variables: Conceptual Knowledge (5 items), Practical Application (5 items), Teaching Effectiveness (5 items), and Employability (5 items).

Reliability of the scales was confirmed using Cronbach's Alpha, with an overall value of 0.84, indicating high internal consistency. The dataset also contains descriptive statistics and regression analysis results illustrating the relationship between GST practical skills and employability. This dataset can be used for research on GST education, employability readiness, and the theory-practice gap in commerce education.
