The series consists of a contract outlining the terms , conditions and costs of the construction of a Technical Museum and Sculpture Gallery in the Public Library in 1891.Once a contract has been let, contract documents needed to be kept to measure compliance and ensure that all contractual obligations were met.Although the contract has been satisfactorily completed and all obligations met, it provides a record of the erection and construction of significant cultural institutions in the state of Victoria.
