中科院古脊椎所邓涛研究员领衔兼通讯作者撰写的“青藏高原—现代生物多样性形成的演化枢纽”基于高原古生物学最新研究成果, 涵盖众多动植物类群, 总结了高原生物多样性的演变过程及其世界性影响。研究者通过综合新生代高原古生物重要类群的演化历史,总结了在高原生长影响下的三种生物演化模式:土著物种本地起源、本地起源并“走出西藏”、途经西藏地区的洲际扩散,突出了青藏高原在现代生物多样性形成过程中的“演化枢纽”的地位。

The paper titled "Qinghai-Tibet Plateau: An Evolutionary Hub for the Formation of Modern Biodiversity", led and served as the corresponding author by Dr. Tao Deng from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IVPP, CAS), is based on the latest research advances in plateau paleontology. It covers a wide range of animal and plant taxa, and summarizes the evolutionary process of plateau biodiversity and its global impacts. By synthesizing the evolutionary histories of key Cenozoic plateau paleontological taxa, researchers have identified three major evolutionary modes of organisms shaped by plateau uplift: in-situ origin of indigenous species, in-situ origin followed by "Out of Tibet" dispersal, and intercontinental dispersal via the Tibetan region, highlighting the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau's status as an "evolutionary hub" in the formation of modern biodiversity. This dataset includes the original text and illustrations of the paper, which is also alternatively titled "Qinghai-Tibet Plateau: A Junction in the Evolutionary History of Modern Biodiversity". All data were produced using drawing software. The dataset contains 5 files in total: 3 figures, 1 document, and 1 coordinate data file. Figure 1: Endemic origin sites of fish and mammals on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, morphological variation and spatial distribution. Figure 2: Locations of "Tibet-originated" mammals and "Out of Tibet" dispersal routes. Figure 3: Origin and intercontinental dispersal routes of climbing perches and Ailanthus trees from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
