In this study, a long-term cropping systems experiment was conducted under a temperate humid climate to evaluate the effects of tillage, crop rotation, nitrogen fertilizer rates. Both fixed-depth and equivalent soil mass approaches were used to quantify soil organic carbon (SOC) and total nitrogen (N) stocks, following methods described by Peng et al. (2025), to assess the impact of management practices on long-term soil carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) storage.
