VPRS 891 Agenda Book

The Denominational Schools Board was established in 1848 and was responsible for the distribution of funds to denominational schools from an annual Parliamentary grant and a proportion of the Church and Schools Estates revenue.This series consists of the Agenda Book for the meetings of the Board. It may also be seen as being a rough Minute Book. The items of business to be considered by the Board are listed on the lefthand side of each double page. Originally in the volume they were listed under the anticipated date of the meeting at which they would have been dealt with. This disappears and each item is over-written with the date of the meeting of the Board which dealt with that item. The later addition of numbers on the righthand side of that page indicate the number the item was given in VPRS 63 Minute Books.On the righthand side of each double page are notes either written or pasted in summarising the action to be taken or piece of correspondence to be written consequent upon the Board's deliberations and decisions.
