<div><span>This feature service shows
the index grid that is used as the basis for an automated map series
covering the National Wildlife Refuges in Alaska. The grid is comprised
of a series of tiles, each of which is 25 miles east/west by 25 miles north/south (four townships north/south by 4 ranges east/west). Each tile in the index grid </span>shows the 1:30,000 scale map extents for 604 maps covering all 16 of the National Wildlife Refuges within the State of Alaska.</div><div><br /></div><div>Each of the 604 maps is in the geoPDF format, which allows the maps to be loaded into a GPS-enabled tablet or smartphone for various purposes such as navigation, route planning, data collection, refuge management, etc.<br /><span></span></div>
