Underlying data for a 100% organic conversion study

Underlying data for ‘Greenhouse gas impacts of converting all farming in England and Wales to organic methods’ by L.G. Smith et al. (2019). We apply a bespoke model to estimate levels of production from agriculture in England and Wales under organic management. Outputs are compared to the real-world distribution of conventional production in 2010, derived from a range of industry sources. The environmental impacts of the organic production scenario are assessed through an application of the Cranfield Agri-LCA models together with country-specific estimates of GHG emissions from Land Use Change (LUC) and carbon sequestration estimates
