资源简介:
Increased fructose consumption contributes to the onset and progression of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), mostly through fructose-induced lipogenesis. The gut microbiome is likely a major extrahepatic effector of fructose degradation, contributing to the production of lipotoxic fatty acids and proinflammatory endotoxins, both with a negative impact on NAFLD. In the gut microbiome of NAFLD mouse models, we identified bacterial genera that were affected by diets enriched in 30% fat, 30% sugar (55/45% fructose/glucose mixture), and both. These genera could be involved in NAFLD and other diseases caused by excessive dietary fat and/or sugar.
