VPRS 12127 Notices of Motion

This series consists of notice papers for council meetings between 1936 and 1994. It is not known as at November 1999 whether Notice Papers continued to be produced and stored separately after 1973. In 2022 Notice Papers from 1971 to 1994 were transferred to PROV.  The notice paper is basically an agenda for council meetings listing the orders of the day, motions and any reports or statements to be presented to the meeting. They usually comprise correspondence formally advising a councillor's intention to move a motion at Council, plus any related papers. VPRS 18972 Council Agendas can also be consulted for other agenda details and papers. Notice Papers are useful as a summary of what was to be discussed at a meeting.
