VIRTUAL MUSEUM OF PASTO VARNISH

About the Project The Virtual Museum of Pasto Varnish project seeks to promote the concept of Generative Crafts among the cultural bearers of the artisanal technique of Pasto's Varnish. In this sense, its main objective is to recover the cultural heritage deposited in ancient pieces decorated with the Pasto's varnish technique exhibited in the Colonial Museum of the city of Bogotá (Colombia) during the first half of 2023. Pasto varnish is recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This dataset contains the paradata of 22 objects digitized as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Pasto varnish technique. Project TasksTask 1:: 3D digitization of objects decorated with the Pasto varnish technique during the exhibition "Mindalas cultural exchanges of Pasto varnish" held at the Colonial Museum in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. Digitized 3D objects: 50.Task 2:: Implement a Virtual Museum of the artisanal Pasto varnish technique with 3D digitized objects for the promotion and dissemination of the technique according to its Special Safeguard Plan.
