These sequences are associated with a sequence based genome-wide scan to identify loci associated with phenotypic traits undergoing divergence in a recently-discovered adaptive population separation in Lake Massoko, Tanzania, of haplochromine cichlid fishes that are closely related to the remarkable recent species radiation in nearby Lake Malawi. In Lake Massoko populations derived from the riverine cichlid Astatotilapia calliptera show multiple morphotypes distinguished by colour, where they live in the lake, behaviour, morphology. In this study genomic data has been obtained from several hundred fish from different locations and types, with associated phenotypic data. This data is part of a pre-publication release.
