本项目属野生动植物保护生物学研究。金丝猴(Rhinopithecus spp.)是主产于我国的珍稀灵长类物种,因其稀有性以及重要的生态、科研和观赏价值,列为国家I 级重点保护野生动物和CITES 公约附录I 物种。金丝猴是湖北省野生动物保护中最具代表性的物种之一,是神农架地区生物多样性保护的旗舰物种、指标性物种。神农架金丝猴 1977 年发现,1980 年首次报道。2001-2007 年神农架自然保护区科技人员通过对金丝猴进行人工补食试验,实现了人与金丝猴的零距离的接触。从而以此为平台,有计划、有步骤地组织和领导相关科技人员系统研究金丝猴的保护生物学和繁殖生态学等。在获得了大量的野外调查资料,结合前人有关神农架金丝猴研究的文献资料,从2006年开始项目小组着手项目的总结工作,经过神农架自然保护区和相关科研单位共9 位科研人员一年的艰苦努力,完成了《神农架金丝猴行为学研究及人工补食技术报告》。 本研究成果:其一,首次系统地报道金丝猴野生食物物种达172 种,为保护管理提供了科学依据 其二,首次对神农架野外金丝猴种群的各种行为进行了系统的研究,编制了行为谱及PAE编码。其三,项目研究筛选出了金丝猴冬季最喜食的植食性物种树生地衣为材料,诱导野外条件下金丝猴采食人工投喂的食物,实现了理论和技术突破,是一项重要的具有独创性、原创性的科技成果 其四,项目研究技术,在国内外首次报道,建立了中国乃至世界第一个野生金丝猴研究平台项目研究成果在我国野生动物科学知识的普及中具有重要作用。
This project falls within the scope of wildlife conservation biology. Rhinopithecus spp. (snub-nosed monkeys), a rare primate species primarily endemic to China, is classified as Class I Key Protected Wildlife of China and a species listed in Appendix I of CITES, owing to its rarity and significant ecological, scientific research, and ornamental values.
As one of the most representative species for wildlife conservation in Hubei Province, Rhinopithecus spp. serves as both the flagship and indicator species for biodiversity conservation in the Shennongjia region. The Shennongjia population of Rhinopithecus spp. was discovered in 1977 and first officially reported in 1980. From 2001 to 2007, technical staff of the Shennongjia National Nature Reserve carried out artificial supplementary feeding experiments on Rhinopithecus spp., achieving zero-distance contact between humans and these snub-nosed monkeys. Taking this achievement as a foundational platform, relevant researchers were organized in a planned and stepwise manner to conduct systematic studies on the conservation biology and reproductive ecology of Rhinopithecus spp.
After accumulating substantial field survey data and integrating previous literature on Shennongjia Rhinopithecus spp., the project team commenced the project summary work in 2006. Following one year of arduous efforts by 9 researchers from the Shennongjia National Nature Reserve and relevant scientific research institutions, the *Technical Report on Behavioral Studies and Artificial Supplementary Feeding of Shennongjia Rhinopithecus spp.* was finalized.
The main research achievements of this project are as follows:
1. For the first time, 172 wild food species of Rhinopithecus spp. were systematically documented, providing a scientific basis for their conservation and management.
2. The first systematic study on various behaviors of the wild Shennongjia Rhinopithecus spp. population was conducted, and an ethogram and PAE coding were compiled.
3. The project screened out epiphytic lichen, the food species most favored by Rhinopithecus spp. in winter, as a test material to induce wild individuals to consume manually provided food under natural field conditions, achieving a theoretical and technological breakthrough. This constitutes an important original and innovative scientific and technological achievement.
4. The project technology, reported for the first time at home and abroad, established the first research platform for wild Rhinopithecus spp. in China and even the world. The research results of this project play a critical role in the popularization of wildlife science knowledge in China.
