Charge effect on the CCN spectrum: Figure 2 data and plotting script for the ChargeCloud proposal

This repository contains the numerical data and plotting script used to generate Figure 2 ("Charge effect on the CCN spectrum") in the ChargeCloud NERC Independent Research Fellowship proposal. The figure quantifies the effect of aerosol charging on cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) relative to a neutral aerosol population. Results are shown for unipolar, Boltzmann and bipolar charging across atmospherically relevant aerosol concentrations (10³–10⁴ cm⁻³) and ageing times (1–3 days). The calculations were produced using the published charge-resolved coagulation framework described in: Ghosh, K., Tripathi, S. N., and co-authors (2017), Journal of Aerosol Science.https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jaerosci.2016.11.019 An additional CCN activation diagnostic based on κ-Köhler theory was applied to the model output. To support transparency and reproducibility, this repository provides: • Numerical data used to generate Figure 2• MATLAB plotting script required to reproduce the figure• Final figure used in the proposal The underlying research model and charge-resolved coagulation source code are active research software and are therefore not distributed through this repository.
