资源简介:
Data DescriptionThis dataset accompanies the paper “Backstress governs transient postseismic creep in the continental lithospheric mantle” by Fan et al. It contains measurements of dislocation densities and residual stress fields in olivine grains from naturally deformed peridotite samples. These data were used to investigate the physical processes that control how the continental lithospheric mantle responds to sudden stress changes during the earthquake cycle, which is essential for interpreting postseismic deformation and constraining mantle rheology.Data Format and ContentsAll data are packaged in a .zip archive and include the following components:Polarised light microscope images for four deformation domains: host rock, protomylonite, mylonite, and ultramylonite.Large-area EBSD maps (one for each deformation domain) providing lattice orientation measurements.Forescatter electron images of decorated dislocations (seven in total): two from the host rock and five from the protomylonite. Corresponding .svg files contain manually traced masks of decorated dislocations. In addition, processed HR-EBSD data are organised within a top-level folder named HR-EBSD. Inside this folder, each deformation domain (host rock, protomylonite, mylonite, and ultramylonite) has its own subfolder containing:Densities of geometrically necessary dislocations, stored in both .mat and .csv formats.Residual stress heterogeneity, stored in both .mat and .csv formats.EBSD data, stored in .ctf format.
