The genomic analysis of an unclutured bacterium IOLA detected from a patient with chronic respiratory disease. human metagenome

The unclassified microorganisms temporarily named "IOLA" were discovered from the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) specimens from patients with respiratory tract infection. Here we show the IOLA genomic sequence determined without isolating of IOLA with culture methods. The genome of IOLA is the smallest (303,838 bp) in bacteria obtained from human clinical specimens, and there are only 310 CDSs. Each protein shows low similarity with known sequences, and a half over of them (167 CDSs) is still "function unknown".
