Data and code for "Autocatalytic Coverage in European Photovoltaics: Regional Innovation and Industrial Renewal"

This record contains the public derived data and custom code supporting the article “Autocatalytic Coverage in European Photovoltaics: Regional Innovation and Industrial Renewal.” The derived-data package includes cohort-level regional revealed-technological-advantage matrices, technological-fitness and diversity measures, the photovoltaic IPC functional-domain mapping, regional-scope tables, matched-analysis outputs, pathway-model results, augmentation summaries and aggregate manufacturer-model results. The software package contains the R, R Markdown and Python scripts, input schemas, synthetic examples and environment information available for the final analysis. Record-level patent data were obtained from European Patent Office PATSTAT, and firm-level data were obtained from Orbis (Bureau van Dijk, now Moody's). These third-party source records are not redistributed. The archive excludes application- and person-level PATSTAT records, inventor or applicant identifiers and addresses, and all raw or firm-level Orbis records, company names, proprietary identifiers, addresses and event histories. Researchers with lawful access to the source databases can use the supplied schemas and code to reconstruct equivalent inputs. Administrative-boundary geometries are also excluded. The derived-data package is licensed under CC BY 4.0 and the software package under the MIT License. The record is version 1.0.0.
