AI Visibility Index, November 2026 edition: which businesses ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini recommend

Which businesses ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini name when a buyer asks them for a recommendation. The same buyer questions were asked about 80 kinds of business in 148 places across 20 countries, in the language of each place, and every name was counted. What was asked. 31 local trades (dentists, plumbers, lawyers and so on) asked about one of 128 cities, 40 software and online service categories (CRM, website builders and so on) and 9 consumer brand categories (banks, mobile carriers, supermarkets and so on) asked about one of 20 countries: 4,948 pages, each one kind of business in one place. New in this edition: 6 local trades, 30 software and online service categories and 40 cities, taking the Index from 2,580 to 4,948 pages. Four buyer questions per page, written in the language of the place (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Polish), with no web search, no location and no chat history. ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini on all 4,948 pages, three times each. Grok was not asked in this edition. 178,128 calls, 178,102 answered, collected on 3 and 4 November 2026. ChatGPT and Claude were asked through different routes than in October, and Gemini answered from a different model; README.md gives the names per answer in each edition, so read a change between the two editions with that in mind. What is counted. One row per business named in two or more answers on a page (75,616 rows): its share of the page's answers with a Wilson 95% interval, its share within each assistant's answers, how many of the four questions produced it and its average position in the answers. Spellings of one business are merged; names are printed as the assistants wrote them and are not verified. Figures for the edition (averages over the 4,939 ranked pages): 54.0% of the names an assistant gave came back when the same question was asked again; two assistants agreed on 19.3% of the names they gave for the same page; the most named business appeared in 56.9% of its page's answers. Limits. Not a rating of the businesses, a local search result or a forecast. It records what these models said in November 2026 to questions asked without a location or a chat history.
