Danish Leisure Study, 1987: Day Form for Adults

This data material forms part of a major survey of people's time consumption. The survey comprises the following data files: # #DDA-1237: Danish Leisure Study, 1987: Background Variables. #DDA-1342: Danish Leisure Study, 1987: Questionnaires for Adults. #DDA-1343: Danish Leisure Study, 1987: Telephone Interviews with Adults. #DDA-1344: Danish Leisure Study, 1987: Day Form for Adults. #DDA-1345: Danish Leisure Study, 1987: Questionnaires for Children. #DDA-1346: Danish Leisure Study, 1987: Interviews with Small Children. # #The part-survey described here deals with information from the day form which was completed in connection with the telephone interviews with adults. # #The questions deal with the respondent's main activities in the previous 24 hours. The day has been divided into periods of 15 minutes. The information falls into three main groups: # #a) The respondent's main activity at various times. For each time period it was registered which main activity of the 39 main activities in the form the respondent was engaged in. # #b) Whom the respondent was together with at various times. The form gives 8 possibilities: alone, together with her/his spouse/cohabitant, together with the youngest child, with the youngest child but one, with the youngest child but two, with other members of the household, with neighbours, or together with other people outside the household. For each time period a 'yes' or a 'no' was registered for each of these possibilities. # #c) Whether the respondent watched TV or listened to the radio at various times and, if so, which channel or which programme. This registration includes listening to the radio and watching TV as main as well as secondary activity, whereas use of radio and TV was only registered under a) if it was the main activity
