These datasets include structural data, geochemical data, U-Pb geochronologic data, and (U-Th)/He thermochronologic data from the Papudo-Quintero plutonic complex in central Chile (near 32.5°S) and form the basis of a paper by the same authors in the journal Tectonics (Singleton et al., 2024). This study documents three deformation events (D1, D2, and D3) in the ~173â164 Ma Papudo-Quintero complex. D1 records ductile NWâSE transpressional shortening in the Middle Jurassic that is consistent with regional oblique subduction convergence and localization of plateâdriven strain in the active magmatic arc. D2 records Late Jurassic N-S extension in a transtensional regime, whereas D3 records Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous NWâSE to NâS shortening in a strikeâslip regime. , , , # Data from: The Middle Jurassic Papudo-Quintero plutonic complex in central Chile
**File S1.**Â This Excel file contains 3 sheets. Sheet 1 (âoriginal dataâ) consists of major element and trace element geochemical data from sample ZAP-44A (fresh quartz diorite) and ZAP-44B (altered quartz diorite adjacent to a vein) in their original format. These geochemical analyses were carried out via CP-AES and lithium borate fusion ICP-MS at ALS Minerals in Reno, Nevada. Sheet 2 (âcrustal thicknessâ) is a compilation of La/Yb and Sr/Y data from the Papudo-Quintero complex from Parada et al. (1992, 1999) and sample ZAP-44A, along with corresponding crustal thickness calculations using the Profetta et al. (2015) and Sundell et al. (2021) calibrations.
