Hourly-scale patterns of airborne Fungi at IUE

Airborne microorganisms were collected from 20 January to 1 March in 2021 at roof of the main building of Institute of Urban Environment (118° 4′ 12.50″ E, 24° 36′ 52.47″ N), Chinese Academy Sciences (IUE, CAS) in Xiamen. We used a sequencing approach based on fungal ITS2 regions to investigate the high time-resolved dynamics of airborne fungi, and to explore the patterns and community assembly of abundant and rare microbes in the atmosphere following Chinese New Year (CNY).
